My name is Janne Kristin Rennemo, and I am a self taught ceramist from Trondheim, Norway. In 2001 I attended a weekend course with introduction to pottery, and after that I was completely in love. Today, over 15 years later, being a ceramist is my main profession and full time job, and I love spending my days by the throwing wheel in my workshop.
All my products are 100 % hand made. They have a typical Scandinavian expression, with clean and soft surfaces inspired by Nordic nature, light and color. The objects are sculptural, but at the same time functional and simple, and stand well both together and alone. Environmental friendliness is in focus in the design of the products, and I wish to express concern for nature and the people who depend on it through durable products that can last forever.
In addition to my web shop, you can find my products at selected stores and art galleries in Norway:

Wheel throwing is a traditional craftsmanship, which runs thousands of years back in time in Norway. I believe it is important to take care of this tradition, but at the same time develop it and create modern products in shape and color-adapted our time.
All products are crafted by hand. After wheel throwing and drying, they are burned in the oven before being polished, glazed and burned a second time.
The porcelain I use provides solid and durable products, that can withstand both usage and cleaning in dishwasher.
